Justin Bieber is a teen idol who recently scored more than 500 million views on YouTube. With this unbelievable amount he leaves competitors far behind. Even our hero's are not that popular and this is a pitty, because with a low number of YouTube views our hero's are less likely to get the attention they deserve.
This project enabled the audience to bieberfy their hero on the site in order to "put him or her on the map again". The site is a critique at how the contemporary society deals with idols and role models. At the same time the website does a few suggestions about "which other hero's you may like". This way the mechanism in society that only let's us learn about things which are popular gets somewhat avoided.
The suggestions for hero's, done by the website, are computed with a tool that I made myself and have called Wicked Wiki. It uses Wikipedia to look for resemblances between persons. More on this tool later ...
